The story of one man, a woman, and an elk in an unusually sounding forest. A visual one-actor theatre accompanied by live music. The play was created based on the novel Doppler by the Norwegian writer Erlend Loe.

The Story of the Non.Garde Theatre (Excerpt)
(…) Jana Šturdíková, a dramaturgy graduate, seemingly possesses the most positive relationship with text as an initial impulse, which she demonstrated in the production Vťahy. This work was created based on the dramatization of Erlend Loe’s novel Doppler. Šturdíková dramatized this novel as a monodrama, portrayed on stage by the truly bravura Zuzana Šimová. Although the theme of conflict in the relationship between a man and a woman got drowned in a multitude of scenographic moves on stage—and thus did not pull the viewer in to the extent it potentially could have—it nevertheless confirmed Šturdíková’s theatrical invention and sense for a distinctive hyperbole. Among the productions of the Non.Garde Theatre, this staging was the most comprehensible and accessible to the viewer, and I must admit that I look back on it the most fondly of all. (…)
